The MACC Grand Reopening on June 26 was a huge success. The vision we’ve been hanging onto for the last three and half years finally came true. The hallways were filled with paintings by local artists, the theater was filled with music, and the community turned out to witness the transformation of the historic SME school building. It was an inspiring event.
We are so proud of what has been accomplished over the last few years, and so thankful to the community that has supported this project. We look forward to continuing the work (because there’s always work with an old building) and growing the programs that make the MACC such a benefit to our small town.
If you are new in town, or have never visited the MACC, please stop by. We are happy to give you a tour and tell you all about the wonderful things that happen here.
P.S.
A note from one of our exhibiting artists:
I want to let you know what it means to me to see my work in such a beautiful space. I am sitting here looking at the pictures and am practically in tears. To see my work properly exhibited is amazing. My ultimate goal is to find gallery representation to display and sell my work, but now even more so. My display at outdoor festivals is ok, but your gallery brings everything to life in a way I haven’t seen. Thank you for this opportunity. I will always see this exhibit as a seismic shift in my ultimate goal.
Sincerely,
Melissa Gates
